Last night in Italy

Just came back from Venice. A very beautiful place. It gave me the best ending of this one-month trip. I have seen the fantastic little show of making glass in Murano and the coloful cute houses in Burano. I have went up to the tower in San Marco Piaza. Seeing the whole island of Venice. And before I left Venice. I was relaxing and watching the cannels in Gondola.

The Trip in Austria

Austria, a place that sounds so high classed and it seems far far away in a dreamland. I finally went there. The place do look very nice and give different feeling from Italy. On the way to Austria, it's all mountains and mountains with some little houses that are in the middle of no where. Really makes me wanna sing 'Climb every mountain.........'.

After lunch we started our car again and find the lake that Marco wanna show me. But it ended up we were cheated by a person in Villach and lead us to a smaller lake which called 'Faaker See'. And it pronouces like 'F**ker see'. Basically the lake has a suitable name,, nothing interesting there and it also cost us nearly an hour to find the way out to our destination.

After finding our way to Velden, we finally found the dream lake. It is very nice looking and we had a coffee next to the lake. Meanwhile I wrote a postcard to my parents, too. After we did a visit there, we then head to Salzburg.

Our estimated time was 1 1/2 - 2 hours to arrive. But we didn't know what was 'Faaker' wrong that we met a terrible traffic jam. We cannot see the end of the queue and there is no exit for a looooooooooooong way on the highway. We spent an hour moving so slow. So dark around as there are only moutains. Marco wanna to leave the highway and tried small roads but it looked so scary. I refused to let him try as we didn't know the way at all!!! I suggest to stick to the long queue because it is safer.

Then after a while, we finally got through the traffic
jam,, it was caused by a traffic light on the highway as there was construction on the road. Just a traffic light made us wait for 1 hour!! It was one unbelivable thing. Then the next unbelivable thing was there was a tunnel that costs € 9.5. Sigh.... someone said it was better to go to those small and dark road. But I think it would cost the same because it takes up more gasoline and time....

At first we expected to arrive some places near Salzburg to stay a night. But it would be too late so we decided to stop in some farer place. Well,, from the map, we can't tell which is the best place. Now I learnt that the bigger the font size, the bigger the town! Anyway, I read the map and suggested to say in 'Flachau' (again, it sounds like F**k cow.. all names in German sounds bad...). So left the highway and lucky us found a bed and breakfast in 10 mins. The price of it is low €50 for a double room include breakfast. And the room is very very nice!!

After we put our things in the room we then look for restaurants to have dinner. The lady in the B&B told us a way to a restaurant but we ended up lost in the dark. And some Austrian were misunderstood us and told us a way to some other B&B. But I wanna say that street looked so weird. The B&B there looked like Disneyland castles with weird lighting...... It looked so scary at night because no people around with the blue and pink lights....

We then head back to our B&B and asked the way again and ending up we had something to eat. The friend next to me were not happy with the food but for me, having something to eat is already good....

Experience in Chinese Restaurant

After 3 weeks, I finally went to Chinese restaurant here in Italy because Marco's friend invited us for dinner. He said it was the best in Udine and he liked it so much. Before going I already thought it might be a test for restaurant because I guess he wanna know if that one sell 'real' chinese food.

When I enter the restaurant, the waitress was a shocked when she knew I'm Chinese. 'You are Chinsese! OH,!!!'. Then because of my obvious accent of Mandarin.. She guessed that I am either from Taiwan or non-mainland China. Then throughout the dinner, other waitresses were also amazed that I'm Chinese.... Hmmm,, why?!

Anyway the 'Chinese' food we ordered were Cantonese fried rice, deep fried noodles, fried 'fun si'. Honestly, the rice and 'fun si' were nice. Very very similar to our taste. Then the 'Kong Pao chicken' and sweet sour pork should be improved but it is already ok. Better than the Chinese food in London I must say. Ah,, forget about the spring roll.. hmmm,, its quite salty.. other than that it was average.

The funniest thing was,, I order dessert in Chinese to the Chinese waitress.. but she made a wrong order,,,Sigh.. Chinese language is not working in Italy obviously......

First Day of School

Today is the first day of going to school. Finally I go to school,, hmmm,, better late than never, right? My teacher is quite nice. But sometimes she would suddenly says, 'Write!', then I felt like primary school student and wrote immediately,,,,

And at the same time,, Marco is learning chinese. He downloaded some notes from the Internet and 'forced' me to teach. It was so funny that some notes are non sense.. and he speaks off-key all the time,,, that is so funny to guess what he said. Like playing 'chiu cup mo dic koo gor jia' (as I dont know how to type chinese,, read it out and you will know what is it..) I think 1 ho can translate this for mum and dad in case they dont understand,,,,

Dècopage!

Finally I bought the products to make Dècopage! Because in the last shop I visited was self-serviced, no one tell me what should I get so last time didn't buy a thing. But today in another shop, someone finally told me how to use the things.. So I decided to buy a little for experiment to see if it is easy do. Miss Ellen, wait for my good news!!!

Luna Park

Luna Park, I guess it is a place for kids more than for adult... But I went there anyway because it looks fun. And it was fun! We went to a mirror house where there are many mirrors and glasses that you dont know which way is the exit. At first, we were quite sure it wouldn't be too difficult to go out but then,,,,,, we start to panic as more and more people got lost inside. Suddenly there were two little sisters around 10 and 6 came to us. They looked so scared and almost cried because they can not find the way out!!

So they followed us but then they saw that we were also in troubles!!! Finally we found the way out but it was not the end of story. Because there were some little tricks on the way out, such as a plastic fake hand came out suddenly,,, Even Marco and I comfort her but she was still scared...... Marco then took her hand and lead her the way. The parents of girl then thank us for that. By the way, I hit my head when I was in the mirror house as I didn't know there was glass in front of me... Sigh....

Boat Trip in River!

We went to a boat trip in Marco's cousin's boat and it was so cool!!! And exciting, I must say, because sometimes he drove quick and made turns! The river sides look very beautiful and very relaxing. And sometimes there were little ducks swimming,, maybe they were Donald and Daisy........

Disneyland in village

In a day, a town could be transformed from modern to old. It's like a theme park!! Haha.. All people has dressing that is 1000 years ago. And selling old stuffs... It's funny to see 'new' people walking with 'old' people.
